We are pleased to announce that one of our mares, Breac, is approx one month pregnant.

The sire of her foal is Uivador Da Broa from Pen Llyn Lusitano Stud & Riding Centre in Wales. Uivador is the only purebred Veiga stallion in the UK and his quality was recognised at both the International Festival of the Lusitano Horse in 2008 (when he won Champion Male) and the Lusitano Breed Society GB Show in 2009 (when he won Champion of Champions). Several of his progeny have gone on to win youngstock and partbred championships showing the quality of the breeding at Pen Llyn.

As well as being the leading Lusitano Stud in the UK Pen Llyn also offers classical riding lessons on their classically trained horses. Rupert and the whole Horse Boy Team spend as much time as they can at this amazing place and we cannot recommend it enough. For more information visit their website:

Before leaving for the UK the Horse Boy Team took Breac to the vet to make sure everything was progressing as it should be and we were lucky enough to be able to see the fetuses heartbeat for the first time. Check out the photograph below of the first ever Horse Boy foal...

We are currently waiting to hear whether another of our mares, Tanwin, is also pregnant. Watch this space...
