Remember the veteran couple I talked to you about last blog Veteran meets Veteran? Well, you will not believe my news. It was mind boggling, and I have been exposed and involved in many miracles, this topped everything!

For years, the Remount Foundation has supported the Wounded Warrior Wellness Program at the United States Air Force Academy with great success. Many veterans use the program to support their traditional mental health care and enjoy the very different focus and approach the equine assisted learning offers.
Last week saw the passing of possibly the best natured equine that any of us here at New Trails have ever known.
Reno came to his final home about 8 years ago.
A horse that was retired early because of his crazy sway back. Without a doubt we were the best final years he could have wished for.
Last night, my little three- year old thoroughbred mare Pepper passed on to greener pastures.
There is a lovely and heartbreaking story connected to this very special equine partner of mine. We all know the heartbreak when having to let loved ones go, and yes, that means our animal family as well. Be it a soft velvety loved cat, an always forgiving warm- eyed dog, or the equine partner that got you through so many ups and downs with hours of trail rides or dressage sessions that finally gave your brain the peace of mind it needed.
