For Eddie and Iris the new Den in the trees at The Little Explorers Activity Club proved to be very successful at the play date this week but for reasons that we didn't expect.

The idea was to create a magical world that the children can discover and explore, a shelter from the heat or rain. What we didn't predict was how brilliant it would be for Iris's social skills to interact with other kids and for Eddie as a place to chill and focus. Our advice - get creative like this with your environment, most of us have trees and hedges in our gardens that can be adapted into cool spaces for our kids. It doesn't cost anything, just a little effort on our part but it can make the world of a different to our little ones.
