We know we have to move for better retention: Any creative ideas what games/ exercises can support the retention of sound blends? Eventually leading to better reading skills?

Great question and we hope many of our experts in the field will chime in:
Just like with math facts, the trampoline is a great option. I know one educator who has small exercise trampolines in her classroom and allows students to practice sound blends with whiteboards facing each other making it like a partner game.

Treasure hunts and silliness! Practice with silly voices, and let the child use silly voices as well.

I love the treasure hunt idea- I have done it for math; it would be so easy to adjust for blands and reading. Thanks! I do have trampolines as well and that is another great option! Keep the ideas coming...
