Testimonials

Cavaletti is a non-profit organisation that offers free playdates to families who have at least one child who is on the autism spectrum. The facilities are in the eastern townships, 100 kilometers from Montreal, in a rural setting. The grounds cover around 5 acres behind a closed ring (indoor arena), in the woods, we have set up and hold 9 stations: Mud kitchen, hammocks, art stations, climbing station, music station, sensory station, biology station, small animals pen, slide, swing, climbing wall station (playground) and we also have a field to hold rule based games with horses. Play dates are held outdoors unless bad weather forces us to hold it in the indoor arena. all the volunteers are familiar and have experience either with special need children, or are attending university courses in psychology. Most are also horse owners and riders. all volunteers have followed 3 training sessions of the movement method totaling approximately 18 hours, except for Delphine Périard-Larivé ( 6 weeks at Austin , Texas, Alexandre Charlton, 4 days, and Helene de Kovachich 7 days. we are curintly working with 3 families during the pilot project"
