Our time working with the Horse Boy family was life-changing. We were clearly able to see just how much our son was able to ‘connect’ when circumstances were ideal and allowed him to be the best version of himself – connect with people, connect ideas, connect with himself. ‘Max’ (or whatever name you choose) ‘s sensory issues were so improved by the environment and the horse work he had a number of firsts – he managed to wear a helmet (huge), he managed to wear a belt restraint (huger) and he expressed a desire to know others’ names (hugest). We have returned to the UK enriched by our time in Texas and fervently hoping that one day we will be able to return. And yes, he still wears a helmet now.
