Horse Boy Camp report, Scotland UK – Oak and Buddy

On the October camp in Scotland, one day Oak decided he wasn’t coming out to see the horses – he just was not interested…  So we decided that ‘Buddy’ who was not only Oaks favourite horse but is a rather large Clydesdale stallion should perhaps make a house call…

We went ot the shops and bought carrots and then whilst Oak was in the house we took Buddy round and taught him to ring the door bell (a big old fashioned bell with a rope).  We shouted on Oak to have him come downstairs to see who was at the door and when Rowen, Oaks Mum opened the door we walked Buddy into the house to the bottom of the stairs.  Oak was delighted because Buddy asked him to come and play and so to get Oak out we told him Buddy wanted help to eat his carrots – so Oak came out side to feed him.

That afternoon Oak was on Buddy with his Mum and he fell asleep, we managed to get him off Buddy into the house and he slept for virtually 14 hours…  Oak had never slept for more than 3 hours at a time before in his entire life…
