Takhin Equine Integrations is a horse training intervention that teaches people with neuro-psychiatric conditions to;
– Rehabilitate, train and maintain horses for therapeutic programs.
– Lunging and long reining to build muscle, rhythm and balance.
– In-hand work to build suppleness and trainability.
– Softening groundwork to create a horse that moves fluidly, feels physically and emotionally good, and who can therefore impart its own wellbeing to a client whether working in the saddle or on the ground.
TAKHIN has been especially successful with wounded warriors preparing horses for special needs children. The program was pioneered through New Trails Learning Systems at the Ride On Center for Kids (the PATH training center in Austin, TX), The Remount Foundation of the US Airforce Academy, and with the German Bundeswehr. But you don’t have to be a veteran or a young adult with neuro-psychiatric conditions. Any one who wants to train, improve, maintain or rehab a horse should learn TAKHIN .

Many therapeutic riding centers struggle finding time to maintain their horses’ training and physical condition, and this impacts their ability to serve clients. TAKHIN provides the solution by creating trainers out of the adult and young adult client group – thus getting the horse trained while also serving those clients selected as trainers – because the training process has it’s own therapeutic value. Then, in turn, the better muscled and suppled horses can better serve the second set of riding clients.

Most therapeutic stables struggle for time to train muscle and supple their horses. Yet a horse that is not brimming with well-being cannot transmit well-being to a client in need. With TAKHIN you transform your adult clients into horse trainers and maintainers – which empowers them. About Rupert Isaacson:
A lifelong horseman who grew up foxhunting and eventing in the UK, Rupert came to dressage through observing that his autistic son Rowan began to communicate in the saddle in front of him when they rode horses together in collection. This led Rupert to they therapeutic technique now known Horse Boy Method, but he also realized that to really understand collection in order to serve an autistic kid well, he had to learn about dressage.
So he went on a quest – to Portugal, France and the UK, riding with different mentors but always finding that they were at least 50% confusing no matter how useful their exercises and techniques were. He became frustrated that no one could explain the overall structure and system in a way that was coherent and immediately doable.
He then started to study the old masters writing, spent hundreds of hours going through online instructional videos and also kept riding with good mentors. Little by little he put together the beginnings of our Stress Free Dressage course and system. When he then discovered the extraordinary Valenca family in Portugal and Christian Bachinger in Austria the whole picture at last fell into place.
Besides horse trainer, Rupert is also known as a human rights activist where he lived with hunting and gathering tribes in the Kalahari Desert in South Africa.
As a successful author of The Healing Land, which tells the story of his family in Africa and his own story of living with the Bushmen of the Kalahari Desert; The Horse Boy, which tells the story of his journey through Mongolia on horseback with his autistic son Rowan and The Long Way Home, which tells the three subsequent healing journeys he and his son took to Africa, Australia and the Navajo reservation, and as a successful documentary filmmaker of The Horse Boy and Endangerous, Rupert found other ways to relate to nature and healing.
But for him, because of his background with autism, the most important thing is to make everything clear, empathetic and fun, so that learning happens in a stress-free way – the only way the human brain and a horse’s brain can truly absorb information.
This combined with being a journalist, discovering how horses can help people with autism and special needs, running the Horse Boy Foundation and being a successful horse trainer, his compassion and purity, his great expertise and insights, this training will be an unforgettable contribution to you, your business and clients.

A brief history of classical training: how this work can strengthen an equine partner physically and mentally so that they provide the most therapeutic movement for participants and feel good while doing it. - Equipment:
What you need, how to use it, why it matters, and where to get it. - Introducing equine partners to long lining:
Building and strengthen the topline.
Introducing equine partners to the 3 phases of lunging:
Creating balance, muscle, and rhythm. - Introducing equine partners to the start of in hand work:
Releasing the 3 points of resistance, shoulder in, and quarters in. Creating an equine partner that says YES!
These 2 days will bring you insights, exercises, personal growth, togetherness, fun and knowledge.
You will gain insight into the directly applicable Takhin step-by-step plan for you, your way of working, your clients and your business. At the beautiful location you will experience the contribution of a healthy environment for your nervous system and brain.
