2018 Denver University: Animals On The Mind 3.0

        Rupert Isaacson, Nina Ekholm Fry, and Bianca Rimbach were invited as presenters in May, 2018 to the third biennial Animals on the Mind Conference at Denver University. The university showed a deep appreciation for the work Horse Boy Foundation does and realized the perfect match to support their effort to illuminate neurodiversity in human-animal relationships. The website stated:

  • ‘The Institute for Human-Animal Connection (IHAC) at the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work would like to thank all of our volunteers, sponsors and attendees of our 3rd biennial Animals on the Mind conference, Extraordinary Connections: Illuminating neurodiversity in human-animal relationships, at University of Denver on May 3-4, 2018. Extraordinary Connections aimed to increase awareness, compassion and understanding of people on the autism spectrum through the strength-based perspective of neurodiversity. This conference focused on contemporary understanding of neurodiversity and human-animal relationships, through ethical frameworks of educational, therapeutic and vocational opportunities. Experts from around the globe were featured as we explored the diversity of human and animal minds from a variety of perspectives and research. This special event was co-hosted by IHAC, Center for Neurodiversity and Green Chimneys.’ Animals on the mind
